It's Springtime!

Written by:  Jason

We're ramping up for spring/summer at Physis Foods!
Today marks the first Healdsburg Farmers' Market of the year. We started Windsor on Sundays a few weeks past. Cloverdale Tuesdays are back to being weekly (it's once a month in winter).

I saw some of the first local grown squash this season yesterday. We're now offering Zucchini & Green Garlic Soup (one of my favorites that also works great as a sauce) and Yellow Squash Soup (a lighter garlic free option). We've been making a Cabbage & Kale Coleslaw that has become a hit in Sonoma.

Now we've got Hot Foods!

This weekend we're trying out something NEW! Come to the Santa Rosa Community Farmers' Market at the Veterans Building HUNGRY!

Now you can enjoy any of our packaged soups while at the market! We're now warming our soups up to order, and offering a variety of add-ins (including Spring Hill cheddar cheese, Straus sour cream, local bacon, avocado, veggies, etc...)!

We'll also be featuring a single hot dish. Hot dishes will be made in limited quantities, and may change during the market.

Until April 6th, we will be making product ahead of market. After the 6th, we will be operating the Physis Foods mobile kitchen in Windsor, and making period trips between markets to refresh our offerings.

Press Democrat Article about fresh stock at markets!

"Physis Foods offers [...] different stocks at the markets". "Roasted vegetable, roasted chicken and beef are his most frequently offered stocks but he also occasionally has lamb, goat, pork[, mushroom] and fish."

"[Physis Foods] prepares everything on the spot in his mobile kitchen at each market he attends, with ingredients almost exclusively from the specific market".

"Stocks range in price from $3.25 to $4 for 16 ounces and $8 to $9.50 for 48 ounces."
